February 26 2014 – New York – (Business Wire) – CloudAlly, a leading provider of cloud-to-cloud backup and recovery services, announces the addition of Microsoft’s Office 365 and SharePoint Online to it’s growing list of secure automated online backup services. Available immediately, the new services ensure the ability to quickly recover critical Office 365 and SharePoint Online data in the event of data loss.

“Many businesses believe the recycle bin provides adequate backup, but the bins are purged automatically after 30 days for Office 365 and 90 days for SharePoint Online. Once purged, that data is gone forever,” explains CloudAlly’s Marketing Director Murray Moceri. “A 2013 report from The Aberdeen Group found that 32% of companies surveyed lost critical cloud data, and of these, 64% were due to users deleting or overwriting the data. Lack of adequate backup for Office 365 and SharePoint Online is a massive exposure for SMBs and Enterprises.”

CloudAlly solves this problem by providing automated daily backups of Office 365 and SharePoint Online data to unlimited Amazon S3 secure storage, enabling customers to export or restore data from any point in time. This includes Email, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks for Office 365, as well as all SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business data.

CloudAlly customers can also activate backups for Salesforce, Google Apps, AWS DynamoDB / SimpleDB, Gmail and Yahoo! Mail.

CloudAlly is built on Amazon’s reliable AWS Platform and all data is encrypted and stored in Amazon S3 storage. System administrator’s can activate automated daily backups for Office 365 and SharePoint Online users with a few simple clicks once they’ve activated their CloudAlly account.

CloudAlly is certified Microsoft Platform Ready and available on the Office 365 Marketplace. Cloudally has also been tested and verified secure by Amazon Web Services, Salesforce.com, and Google Apps, and is available from the Salesforce AppExchange, Google Apps Marketplace, or directly from the company’s website. Pricing discounts are available to qualified Academic and Non-Profit Organizations.
